The Founders:

Co-CEOs Timothy Bowe and Ron Rubbico founded Foliage in 1991 with the vision to build an organization that would become a trusted product and technology strategy adviser to its clients, and to develop the deep technical expertise and focused industry experience to deliver on those strategies. Their personal relationships with Foliage clients - spanning 16 years and more than 200 clients - are borne of trust, value, and partnership, and are a testament to that vision. Today, Tim and Ron continue to guide the company, encouraging the introduction of innovative new ideas and methods to help clients deliver their envisioned products to market.

Timothy Bowe
CEO, Co-Founder

Tim Bowe

Tim Bowe steers the development and evolution of Foliage consulting services, and works directly with executive-level clients, helping them derive more business value from their product lines. He leverages twenty-five years of product realization experience, facilitating the delivery of envisioned products to market in the aerospace, medical device, and industrial equipment industries. Tim has also played an active role in operational management both at Foliage and in previous positions.

Tim speaks and writes extensively on leveraging product line synergies to create market opportunity, and on increasing R&D efficiency through focused alignment of technology and business strategies. Prior to Foliage, Tim held senior management and technical roles at Technology Integration, Inc., Eaton Semiconductor, Advanced NMR, Ion Beam Systems and Control Data. He holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Merrimack College, and did graduate work in physics and computer science at the University of New Hampshire.

Ron Rubbico
CEO, Co-Founder

Ron Rubbico

Ron Rubbico directs corporate business strategy and long-term planning at Foliage, and works with executive-level clients, helping them capture market share and maximize profitability from their products. Through the years, Ron has focused on evolving the corporate structure, and has introduced and refined processes that continue to strengthen and support Foliage in the role of trusted partner. In addition, Ron has recruited and integrated executives from a broad range of industries to lead the company's operating divisions and management team, and continues to be actively involved in aligning operations with corporate strategy.

Ron has over twenty years of experience delivering products in the aerospace and industrial equipment markets. Prior to co-founding Foliage, Ron held senior engineering and management positions with Computervision, Eaton Semiconductor, and Technology Integration, Inc. Ron holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College, and a bachelor of arts in chemistry from Skidmore College.

Gail Greenwald
Executive Vice President

Gail Greenwald

Gail Greenwald is responsible for corporate management of Foliage's operating divisions and its corporate sales and engineering functions. Her focus is to help Foliage continue and accelerate its recent high growth, further enhance its success in creating value for its clients, and lead strategic initiatives and organizational development.

Gail has more than 20 years' experience in professional services and technology-intensive organizations. Most recently, she was chief operating officer of Caveo Technology. Earlier in her career, Gail was vice president and senior managing director of the technology and product development business of Arthur D. Little, serving as deputy manager for a 300-person staff providing technology consulting, product development and contract research services across a wide range of industries. At Arthur D. Little, she also spent several years as vice president and managing director of the technology consulting business, and many years managing long-term client relationships with large multinational clients in the areas of technology and business strategy and R&D planning. Gail holds a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from M.I.T. and a PhD in chemical engineering from the University of California at Berkeley.

Louisa Gray
Vice President, Operations

Louisa Gray

Louisa Gray is responsible for the corporate management of Foliage's sales and marketing support, human resources, and IT support functions. In this capacity, her focus is to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of internal business processes while identifying opportunities to improve both long-term strategic and tactical day-to-day operations. With more than 20 years experience in various Operational Management positions, in both large and small organizations, Louisa has developed a core skill base in defining and executing operational initiatives to effectively grow business and ensure operating efficiency.

Previous to Foliage, Louisa was Operations Officer at Wells Fargo where she directed business operations for Corporate Headquarters and 11 regional offices. While at TAC Engineering, in addition to her operational responsibilities, she was involved in the development and implementation of strategic marketing programs and the procurement and adminstration of multi-million dollar government contracts. In addition, she has directed daily operations for several smaller organizations where her responsibilities included management of corporate finances, in-depth market research and analysis, and the creation and delivery of sales and marketing initiatives.

Louisa holds a bachelor of arts from Regis College and did MBA graduate work at Pepperdine University.

John Carey
Vice President and General Manager, Medical Division

John Carey

John Carey is responsible for P&L management of the Medical Division at Foliage. John joined Foliage in 1996 as the first sales executive, and most recently served as Vice President, Corporate Sales. With over 15 years experience in the medical industry, John has been integral in the growth of the company as well as in the implementation of business processes to support this growth. In his current role John will continue to drive new business for the medical division while also overseeing adherence to delivery schedules and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Before joining Foliage, John held direct sales and sales management positions with several companies that offer hospital and clinical information software to the health care industry, including Cerner Corporation, MEDITECH, and Versyss. Prior to his work in health care, John sold job cost accounting software systems for Contel Business Systems.

John holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Northeastern University and he served four years in the U.S. Navy.

Tom Mariano
Vice President and General Manager

Tom Mariano

Tom Mariano is responsible for P&L management of Foliage's Aerospace, Defense and Security Division and of the Industrial Equipment Division, which serves the semiconductor equipment, test and measurement, and communications industries. Tom's objective is to grow the business through a consistent focus on customer satisfaction and by providing the absolute maximum value to customers in an efficient model. Tom has over 16 years experience in software development, software management and marketing including 13 years in the semiconductor industry. Tom spent over ten years with semiconductor factory automation companies PRI Automation and Brooks Automation holding positions of VP AMHS Marketing, VP Factory Software, VP Software Development, Director Software Development and Principal Software Engineer. Previous to this, Tom held various software engineering and engineering management positions with Proconics International (later part of Asyst Technologies), UPS Research and Development and Northern Research and Engineering Corporation.

Tom received a Master of Science in Robotics and Control Systems from MIT in 1987 and a bachelor of science in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Computer Science from Northeastern University in 1985.

Dave Harrington
Vice President of Engineering

Dave Harrington

Dave Harrington manages Foliage's engineering group with the goal of providing optimal support to the industry-focused divisions. Dave is also responsible for the development and execution of recruiting and resource allocation plans for the company's technical staff.

The Engineering Group provides much of the top-quality engineering talent for Foliage's mission-critical and time-critical engagements. From product concept to delivery, the engineering group at Foliage is closely involved with each project. Team members bring a powerful synergy of perspectives to solving technical problems due to their work across a variety of domains, and by using a mixture of technologies. Techniques and innovation from one domain can provide new solutions to existing problems in another domain.

Dave has 20+ years experience in a variety of roles within software development including managing development teams, software delivery, software quality assurance, and software services.

Prior to joining Foliage in 1999, Dave built and managed software engineering and quality assurance teams in the CAD/CAM industry at Computervision, in the financial industry at Fidelity Investments, in government-funded research at the Mitre Corp, and in non-linear digital editing at Media 100.

Dave holds a bachelor of arts from the University of Massachusetts, and a MS degree from Boston University.
