Web Portal for Financial Gifting Services
Foliage designed and developed the prototype web site for buying and sending gift certificates that can be redeemed in any savings or investment program at affiliated financial institutions. The project included building dynamic web pages for purchasing gift certificates with a credit card or direct deposit, maintaining customer gifting activity logs, creating accounts at affiliated financial institutions and depositing gift certificates into those accounts. Requirements included a secure encrypted protocol, e-mail notification, credit card and ACH transactions, a database manager, integration with payment processing and merchant account providers, click-through tracing and the ability to easily integrate with HTML pages designed for usability by a third-party web author.
Technologies included Java, Java Server Pages, SSL, Dynamo droplets and EJB. The prototype was developed using ATG Dynamo Application Server 4.5.
